  18. <p>     Short-notice, surprise weddings appear to be the latest Hollywood
  19. fad. First it was Julia and Lyle; now tantrum-prone actress
  20. KIM BASINGER has married frequently peevish actor ALEC BALDWIN,
  21. her longtime beau, in a beach wedding in East Hampton, New York's
  22. toniest summer enclave. The guests, Billy Joel and Paul Newman
  23. among them, learned of the couple's decision to wed only days
  24. before. The other two Fabulous Baldwin Brothers, Billy and Stephen,
  25. were on hand as well.
